When you have acne, the first instinct you get is to squeeze those pimples. You better not do so as this will leave marks all over your face. If you don’t resist and urge to pop your pimples there are some homemade remedies you can try to help you with the acne marks.
Although it may seem impossible to get rid of them, it is not. You just have to make peace with the fact that no treatment out there will resolve this issue overnight. You need to be patient.
But, by following a proper treatment, which gives results, time will be cut in half, as opposed to using masks that do not work, or worse, which make the marks last longer than if you would leave it alone.
One ingredient which can help with the healing of acne marks, is baking soda. Here’s how you use it:
Mix a teaspoon of baking soda with a small amount of water so that you get a smooth paste. Wash your face with warm water. Gently massage the paste onto the affected areas, or you can use it on your entire face because it also helps with getting rid of dead skin cells. Leave it on for 2 minutes. Make sure you don’t leave it more than 2 minutes on because it can really dry your skin.
Use warm water to rinse the baking soda off and make sure you use a clean towel to wipe. It would be best to keep a towel just for you.
Micellar water is also great for cleaning your face daily.
You can also use aloe vera to heal your acne scars. If you happen to have a plant in your home you can take a leaf and cut it in half. Use the gel inside as a face mask. It will do wonders for your skin, aloe being world-wide known for its skin healing powers.
You may also use raw oat and honey.
