To clean grease from any surface in your kitchen, make sure you do not lack lemons from your fruit basket. Distilled white vinegar can do wonders too, but you can also use regular white vinegar, baking soda or borax. You can also make use of castile soap and hydrogen peroxide.
If there is one item in the kitchen that needs to be thoroughly cleaned and deodorized, that is the wooden cutting board. We use the cutting board to cut everything when cooking: raw meat, raw fish, garlic, onion, everything. All those smells and even bacteria get deep into the board and it may seem impossible to get rid of the smell.
But by doing the following, all smells will go away: cut a lemon in half, and sprinkle on it baking soda. Wet the cutting board and sprinkle on baking soda, as well. Take the two half parts of lemon, one at a time, and rub the cutting board with the sprinkled inside until you can’t get any use of either. Rinse thoroughly and your cutting board is now clean.
Do you need to clean the greasy food remains that are stuck on the inside of your microwave? Get a bowl and fill it with water in which you add slices of lemon. Put the bowl inside and microwave it for 1 or 2 minutes at full power. The steam produced in the process with loosen the food remains. This will make it easier for you to wipe them off.
To clean greasy pans and oven trays, you need baking soda and vinegar. Scrub until they’re clean.
To wash the grease off of the dishes you can use regular dish washing liquid detergent, or you can make your own by mixing castile soap flakes with warm water.
To wash greasy kitchen cabinets you can also use baking soda and lemon juice. Or just baking soda and water if they’re not very dirty.
