Do you like to make your own cleaning products? Now you have the chance to learn how to make your own toiler freshener. And as you will see, it is quite simple to do.
Here’s what you need:
- 1 cup of baking soda
- 1/4 cup of citric acid
- 1/2 teaspoon of white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide
- 20 drops of essential oil (your choice regarding the scent)
- Ice tray
- Parchment paper
- Spray bottle
- Measuring spoons
Here’s how you do it:
Put the baking soda into a mixing bowl and make sure you get rid of all the lumps. The reason why we use baking soda is that it is a natural odor-killer. Therefore, it makes the perfect base for a toilet freshener.
Next, add the citric acid and stir everything up.
Mix the vinegar and hydrogen peroxide together and slowly add the liquid to the baking soda, one drop at a time. You have to do it slowly, otherwise the chemical reaction will spill everything on the table.
Next, you add the essential oil and gently mix.
The next step is to give the fizzy pops their shape. Use a spoon to fill one of two ice trays, depending on how many pops you wish to end up with.
Let the mixture to set and dry for at least four hours in the ice trays to get the round or square shape, or whatever shape your ice trays have.
After drying, get yourself a cute recipient such as a transparent jar with a bow, put all the fizzy pops in and leave it in the bathroom so that you, your family or whoever uses the bathroom, can use them to leave the toilet and bathroom smelling fresh.
